What is Early Intervention?

Early Intervention is a service provided in the natural environment of children, birth to six years-old, who are diagnosed or at-risk of developmental delays.

Your Early Intervention Specialist will meet with you and your child, conduct an assessment, recommend services your child may need to help meet developmental milestones, and provide special instruction which is a hands-on approach to support other forms of therapy or treatment your child may be receiving.

    What is a natural environment?

The natural environment of a child could be their home, daycare, babysitter, grocery store, park, or any place a child normally goes throughout their day.

*** Although your child may go to school and have several medical appointments, Early Intervention is not provided in the school or medical facility setting.
